The first knockout stage of Champions League has finally arrived with its second leg moments away! Out of the 4 teams playing only 2 will go ahead. Our match in the Spanish capital at Santiago Bernabue is going to be a treat to watch.

Real Madrid have a hundred percent record against the young Dutch side. They have won all 7 matches against them, scoring 22 and conceding only 3, one of which was scored in the first leg of this fixture. With three champions league title in the last three years Real Madrids confidence would be up in the skies. However, a recent dip in the form in their league has dented Real Madrid a lot as the league is out of their reach, and they have been dumped out of the Copa Del Rey by their fierce rivals FC Barcelona. Two defeats at their home ground, both in El Classicos puts the Galacticos on a vulnerable stage tonight. The absence of their leader, Sergio Ramos would not be doing Real Madrid any favours however a stage has been set up for teenagers like Vinicious Junior to flourish and become regular starters at this huge club.

Ajax on the other hand have a young side and are coming into this game with two back to back victories, one of which was a thumping win of 3-0 against their rivals Feyenoord. Their attacking midfielder Hakim Ziyech has netted 15 goals this season. His brace against local side Den Haag would be a huge boost for him. Along with him the former Southampton winger, Tadic has found the form of his life and has already netted 16 goals and is boosting with confidence.

A lot of eyes will be set up on De Ligt from Ajax and Vinicious Junior from Real Madrid as they are set to take upon each other in what could be a rejuvenation in Real’s season or a historic day for Ajax who have never won a knockout tie in the Champions League!

The question remains. Will the Spanish giants use the two away goals advantage and make this a stroll in the park on their own turf? Or will a young Ajax side overturn the table and knock the reigning champions out of the biggest competition of Europe?
